A 2007 political donation to Bill Shorten’s campaign wasn’t formally disclosed until last week, the Trade Union Royal Commission was told today. The revelation is likely to put Shorten in a difficult position to attack the government on the issue of secrecy over campaign donations, and to again raise the issue of what the public has a right to know about who is giving what to political parties.
