For the gay and lesbian community in Australia, the issue of domestic violence within same-sex relationships is a difficult topic. Whilst it is sometimes presumed not to exist, domestic violence can often be as prevalent as it is in broader society. Acknowledging this is one of the main themes of a new campaign was developed by the AIDS Council of NSW and funded by the NSW Attorney General’s Department. James Fletcher spoke to ACON’s Education Manager, Brad Grey, and the Coordinator of Client and Community Services at Twenty10 Althea Mackenzie.
