Report finds 1 in 6 Australians are going hungry

As part of National Anti-poverty week, Australian non-profit Foodbank has released their 2021 Hunger Report.

It finds that many Australians are experiencing food insecurity for the first time due to the pandemic.

The report also highlights that the long-standing issues faced by regional areas and remote indigenous communities in accessing food have deepened during the pandemic.
