Fathers groups have today gathered to protest a controversial bill being debated in the NSW Parliament. The Same Sex Relationships Bill, if passed, would allow both women in a lesbian relationship to be named the legal parents of their child. The proposed bill has angered some fathers, who claim the bill discriminates against men and robs children of their biological fathers. The Gay and Lesbian Rights Lobby disagrees, saying if passed, the bill will give greater rights to children of same sex couples.
