Members of the Stolen Generations will tonight state their case for compensation in front of the NSW parliament. Although the Federal Government has ruled out compensation for the Stolen Generations, Deputy Chair of the NSW Reconciliation Council- Maurice Shipp- says the issue needs to be discussed. One person speaking tonight is Debra Hocking, a member of the Stolen Generations Alliance. She received compensation from the only state that has set up a reparations fund- Tasmania.
