The rampant increase in light pollution around the globe has led to consistent decrease in areas untouched by artificial light. Dark sky tourism, i.e., spaces for people to witness the milky way has become more important than ever considering its historical and scientific importance for research.

Astro-tourism is deemed to be the lowest impact tourism there with the potential to help combat light pollution in a quick and effective manner.
