The International Red Cross has been accused of taking sides in the Israel – Gaza Conflict. The agency is set to attend a conference hosted by an Israeli Military Think Tank. Activists say the appearance lends support to Israel’s military actions, and have circled a petition requesting the organisation withdraw. The petition has drawn thousands of signatures. But the Red Cross says that part of its role is to engage with armed forces around the world.
