Today NSW Treasury Intergenerational Report on Climate Risk showed that the average annual costs of climate change for NSW was set to increase.

An overwhelming figure of $10 Billion was projected over the coming decades with yearly costs of $75 billion. The Australia Institute has requested that the NSW government responds to these revelations in support to a National Climate Compensation Fund. This will ensure that the money goes back into our economy instead of having to clear up the damage done by giant monopolies carbon emissions.

Ultimately the fund will facilitate in making companies liable for their actions instead of us tax payers.
