Anti-nuclear lobbyists are calling on the United States and China to stick with their proposal to ratify the nuclear disarmament treaty. This call comes in the wake of North Korea’s nuclear test explosion. This test is a serious challenge to the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty which would effectively create a global ban on nuclear testing. Some analysts are concerned that these nuclear powers will use this explosion as an excuse not to ratify the treaty.
