New national forum to lead government on Indigenous health

A major development in the struggle to close the health gap between Indigenous and Non-Indigenous Australians has been announced today, with the formation of the National Health Leadership Forum.

Under the National Congress of Australia’s First Peoples,  the forum is a partnership between eleven Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health bodies and the Congress, and will be working with the federal government to improve health outcomes for Indigenous Australians.
