Hearing Australia’s new First Nations Service Unit will support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families in remote communities across Australia access to appropriate hearing services.

Hearing check ups are essential to preventing long-term ear disease and hearing loss among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

One in four children are being found to have undiagnosed ear disease or hearing loss, requiring referral to clinical specialists.

For more information about Hearing Australia’s services you can go to their website and look for the HAPPE, or call 134 432.
