A national agreement between Federal and state governments will pave the way for all new homes to be made more accessible. Ground floor toilets, stepless entry and wider doorways are part of the proposed standards required from next year under the new National Construction Code , based on the Livable Housing Design Guidelines (LHDG) silver standards.
