National security or national wind up?
In February then Prime Minister Tony Abbott announced further national security measures today in the wake of the report on the siege at Martin Place. He said the government must do all it can to protect the Australian people even if that means trading odd some personal liberties. The government plans to tighten up immigration, citizenship and data retention laws, and will appoint a National Counter Terrorism Coordinator. But is this Coalition just pushing through their conservative agenda and ignoring other causes of terrorism?
