National Press Club courts diplomatic war with China

Uyghur community representative and exile, Rebiya Kadeer, spoke today at the National Press Club in Canberra. Ms Kadeer sought to raise awareness of human rights abuses endured by the Uyghur people at the hands of the Chinese government. Chinese diplomats did not let the discussion go ahead without protest. They claim Ms Kadeer does not objectively portray the conflict in the Xinjiang province.
