Since the release of its draft report, The Murray-Darling Basin Authority has been overwhelmed by the numbers of people attending its consultation sessions in towns across the Basin. And tensions are running high. The camps are divided into environment vs farmers and irrigators, and the debate continued today at the National Press Club. The panel heard voices from both sides, but the debate seemed to leave the two camps no closer to finding a middle ground.
