Managing Director Michelle Guthrie was dismissed by the ABC Board after serving just two-and-a-half years of her five-year term.
The ABC said in a statement that “it was not in the best interests of the ABC for Ms Guthrie to continue to lead the organisation” but did not give specific reasons for her dismissal.
Ms Guthrie said in a statement that she is considering legal options against her firing.
