Health Minister Peter Dutton flagged in a speech yesterday that the government plans to make changes to the ‘unsustainable’ Medicare system. Although Prime Minuster Tony Abbott has moved quickly to reassure that his governemnt remains a friend of Medicare, many see the attack on public health as consistent with Liberal ideology.
