Following Papua New Guinea’s Supreme Court ruling that Australia’s detention of asylum seekers on Manus Island is illegal, the detention centre has been closed.

In light of the failed Cambodia deal earlier this year, questions have been raised yet again about asylum seeker policy options, and what they mean for asylum seekers themselves.
