It’s two decades since the historic Mabo decision was handed down, the case that paved the way for legal recognition of traditional land ownership. While celebrations over the weekend remembered Eddie Koiki Mabo, questions were also being asked over the effectiveness of the current system of Native Title.

The Federal Government announced there will be reforms, and there’s also a Greens Amendment to the Native Title Act before the senate.
