This whole neighbourhood designed by renowned architect Thomas Dolliver Church, some 150 acres large, has been acquired by a large development corporation after intense court battles by representatives of the 9000 rent-controlled residents. Although promises have been made to low-income residents, many believe they will be evicted and cannot afford any other housing in San Francisco; one of the worlds most expensive cities – how did the City allow this to happen?
