A new international housing survey puts Sydney at No.2 behind Hong Kong as the most costly in the world. Melbourne beats out San Francisco to come in at No.5. Our other capital cities are not far behind – how is it that Australia has so much landmass yet housing development is a Byzantine world of political intrigue with business and government that seems to fail those on the lower rungs of the economic ladder? Senator Bob Day says the answer is obvious.
