Throughout the week, The Wire has covered the lead-up to the protests against the expansion of the Olympic Dam mine, the biggest uranium plant in Australia. Despite a police road block, environmentalists and anti-nuclear activists from across Australia are getting involved.

The plant has been given approval to expand but the traditional owner of the land, Uncle Kevin Buzzacott, is not happy with this decision. In protest, he has launched the Lizard’s Revenge movement to create awareness about the consequences of the expansion, and to try and stop it.
