When Melbourne Comedian Xavier Toby came back from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in more debt than he left, his choice was either to work multiple jobs and spend years paying it off, or do a stint on the mines. So he signed up as Fly In Fly Out (FIFO) worker, and entered a world where men were men, the humour was brutal and a sensitive guy from Melbourne had to learn how to stand up to the toughest Aussie blokes out there. The result was a book, Mining My Own Business, and a new Fringe show, which is currently touring the country.
