The RSPCA has called for jumps racing to be banned after the latest death of a racehorse in Victoria on Sunday. Jumps racer Prince Vitality was euthanased after the seven year old injured his shoulder when he fell at the first fence of the race. The RSPCA says the event is a “despicable practice” and is calling on the Victorian Minister for Racing, Rob Hulls, to end the sport. Victoria and South Australia are the only states in Australia which conduct jumps racing.
