In a few short months, the first ever National congress of Australia’s First Peoples will kick off discussions about how to address the many issues facing Indigenous people. Long time Indigenous activist Les Malezer has just been elected to co- chair the new body. He says there’s a long list to grapple with, but told Chrissy Kavanagh why he thinks the congress is a step forward.
