Many are unaware that jockeys are the group of Australian workers most likely to be killed at work. In addition to this, at least half a dozen jockeys each year are injured so badly they can never return to racing. The ACTU and the Australian Jockeys Assoc say it is time for State governments to inject much needed funding into the National Jockeys Trust.
