Not Dirty, Not on Drugs - Alex Proimos

Homelessness is something that one might imagine presenting itself as people sleeping rough on the streets.

The reality is that many cases are hidden. Instead people turn to what they know. Friends’ couches, relationships that provide a sense of security.

But what happens when these situations fall flat? Many, by circumstance, may turn to and end up relying on Specialist Homelessness Services (SHS) which facilitate the rehabilitation process.

For these organisations the goal is to provide the means to a long-term plan that includes safe housing, income and mental health support for some of Australia’s most vulnerable people.
