The Government has hinted that there will be major changes to the way universities are funded in the Federal Budget. Higher education institutions may be deregulated meaning universities could choose how much they charge for their own courses. Often people opt to attend more central, sandstone unis, enabling these institutions to charge students more and allow them to finance their competitive-edge on the world stage. But could this leave the less popular regional universities in the dust?
