Haiti still waiting for aid 6 months after disaster

Since a magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck Haiti six months ago, displaced Haitians whose homes were destroyed have been living under intolerable conditions. Despite an enormous international relief effort, over a million people are still forced to live in makeshift shelters composed of wood and sheets of plastic. Former US President Bill Clinton, who is overseeing the relief operation says only 10 percent of promised donations have come through from various governments. With the hurricane season now in full swing, the next challenge is to provide permanent shelter for survivors.
