There are no gay or lesbian people in nursing homes. That’s the attitude of most aged-care providers, according to a survey released today which found almost 90% think they’ve had no gay or lesbian residents. It comes two weeks after the federal government announced a $400,000 grant for aged-care training in New South Wales to help reduce discrimination against gay and lesbian people. Advocates say that’s not enough.
