Grave concerns as Nauru detainees continue hunger strike

Omid Sorousheh is a 35-year-old Iranian refugee on Nauru currently seven weeks into a hunger strike. There are serious concerns for his life, while a number of other asylum seekers have also begun hunger strikes. Refugee advocacy groups say the intolerable conditions are mentally destroying asylum seekers and are calling on the Australian government to act.
