There are two certainties in life; death and taxes.

With the Government pushing forward with its three stage tax cut legislation, they’ll need the vital support of the Senate crossbench if Labor continue their opposition to the latter two stages of the package.

Finance Minister Mathias Cormann has said the Coalition will not split up the tax bill to legislate the lower to middle income tax breaks first, saying the economy needs certainty over the long term.

But with the last two stages of tax cuts coming in after the next federal election, what’s all the fuss about?
