Got milk or milk alternatives? Members of the dairy industry push for labelling changes.

Consumers are increasingly lapping up milk alternatives, with many of these alternatives being labelled as milk, which is causing a stir in the dairy industry.

Following a European Court of Justice ruling that stated “purely plant based products cannot, in principle, be marketed with designations such as milk, cream, butter, cheese and yoghurt” a push is being made for the same changes to the definition of milk in Australia.
