Protests have erupted in many Iranian cities following the death of a 22-year-old Kurdish-Iranian woman, Mahsa Amini, who was detained for wearing her hijab “inappropriately”.

This has led to violent police crackdowns, with beatings, and the killing of 40 people as protesters form all around the world rallied to show solidarity with Iranians who are fighting for freedom and women’s rights.
