First Australian Aboriginal artwork wins Waterhouse prize

Maragret Loy Pula of the Utopia region North-East of Alice Springs produced a detailed dot painting of the bush potato, and it won her the top spot in the 2012 Waterhouse Natural History Art Prize.

The Waterhouse Natural History art prize is awarded every year in a variety of categories. Margaret Loy Pula was the overall winner this year with her painting Anatye (Bush Potato).
