The Federal Government is ignoring questions on Indigenous Affairs

Dozens of parliamentary questions about Indigenous affairs have been ignored by the Federal Government since October 2017, prompting accusations it does not take the policy area seriously.

In a Senate committee hearing The Prime Minister’s Department was given more than 50 questions to respond to.

But three months on, the public service’s central agency has not answered a single one relating to Indigenous Affairs while it has answered more than 75% of non-Indigenous related questions.
