The UN is calling the world’s most severe food crisis. The trigger is a drought so severe that its putting 11 million people at risk across the region. In Somalia in particular the situation is all the more dire because of the ongoing political turmoil. While the immediate priority is emergency food aid, more resilient agriculture might be the key to getting Somalia back on its feet.
