In the lead up to the elections we have a look at the major parties policy regarding Marriage Equality. Currently the labor party runs under a conscience voting system allowing them to vote based on personal choice. On the other hand Mr. Abbott has not allowed his party to vote for marriage equality based under a conscience vote and does not support marriage equality in their federal platform. Meanwhile The Greens are big advocators of Marriage equality and hope that in the near future all couples will have the same rights under the Australian marriage law.
