A family of Sri Lankan refugees who were detained for four years have been released after ASIO overturned their status as a security risk. This has brought in to question the processing policies that allowed them to be wrongfully held for this amount of time.

This is contrary to the fundamental human rights of all Australian citizens. In light of more and more cases being reviewed, refugee advocates are calling attention to these major policy flaws.
