Jose Ramos Horta has promised to turn East Timor around after being sworn in today as caretaker Prime Minister. The move has been met with support from East Timor’s fatigued population, but some political analysts back home are suggesting that Ramos Horta will prove a more western friendly Prime Minister than his predecessor, Mari Alkatiri, on issues such as foreign investment and the Iraq war.
