A politician who once said Palestinian prisoners should be drowned in the Dead Sea is pegged to become the new foreign minister for Israel. Avigdor Lieberman from “Israel Our Home” is likely to form a right wing coalition with Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party. Neither politician believes in a two- state solution to the middle east conflict, and Lieberman has said that any Arab Knesset member who speaks to Hamas should be tried for treason.
