One in three Australians has experienced some form of racism in the workplace or at school.

Advocacy group Democracy in Colour hopes to address the issue by empowering those from minority backgrounds, as well as making sure Australia’s political leaders are held accountable for their statements.

The organisation, led by 23-year-old Tim Lo Surdo, was launched around the nation last weekend.
