More than just honey producers, Australia’s bees contribute up to six billion dollars worth of agricultural produce, through pollination. On a global level, the bee industry has been hit hard by the deadly verroa mite. A parasitical bug that feeds off the blood of bees. Australia is the only country to date to escape the deadly infestation.
