Customs staff at major airports in Australia are planning to strike this week, over what they see as the governments’ refusal to negotiate on a pay deal.

Workers at Sydney, Melbourne and Perth international airports will stop work for twenty four hours, while staff at other Customs sites will hold a four hour stoppage.The strike will cause delays for passengers – and cargo inspections, mail centers and other services will also be impacted.Customs and Border Protection says they have made progress on a range of issues and will negotiate to reach an agreement within their budget.
