Multinational coffee giant Starbucks has announced the closure of sixty-one of its stores across Australia this week, with hundreds of jobs being lost in the process. The chain’s American executives are now scratching their heads as to why the concept did not make them a more lucrative profit in Australia and questions are flying about why the chain has been so unsuccessful here. Deborah Hawke took to the streets to ask people what they think the answer might be.
