Charges of indecent assault have been dropped against actor Kevin Spacey.
The charges concerned a 2016 incident, in which the Hollywood star allegedly groped an 18-year-old man at a bar.
Very few of the high-profile individuals implicated in the #MeToo movement have even been brought to trial.
But this poor conviction rate is not limited to the rich and famous. Convictions for sexual offences are rare, compared to the rate of offending, due to a range of evidential, legal and social issues.
