Kevin Rudd has watered the flames by agreeing to include the Carer’s bonus in the upcoming budget. But will this bonus become a permanent fixture of the budget or is it a once off to quell speculation? Carers Australia President Pam Webster met with the Minsiter for Families Jenny Macklin in Parliament House this afternoon to discuss future financial assisstance for carers, and the Wire’s Alice Monfries spoke with her afterwards to see whether she was happy with the outcome of the meeting.
