A baby seal frolics in the waters off the Great Australian Bight

The Clean Bight Alliance is a small group of concerned citizens living on the west coast of South Australia who’ve come together to take action to stop the exploration for oil and gas in the Great Australian Bight. They are part of a larger group call the Great Australian Bight Alliance which includes organizations like the Wilderness Society, Sea Sheppard Australia, Oil Free Seas, Surfrider Foundation, Sea Sheppard UK and the Australian Marine Conservation Society.

At a local level, it’s ordinary people who are organizing against the global oil giants to stop the industrialization of the pristine waters of the Bight. People who rely on the Bight waters for sustenance, for their livelihoods, for recreation, and for their traditional culture.
