Homelessness is an issue that affects more than 100,000 Australians. But according to a researcher at the University of Technology, Sydney, solving the problem is about much more than just putting a roof over someone’s head. Dr Catherine Robinson has been researching the problems faced by homeless people in New South Wales and Queensland, and particularly how they manage the trauma of being displaced. She argues that understanding these problems is crucial to helping homeless Australians.
