A tragic death has inspired the decision to make this year’s Barunga Aboriginal Sports and Cultural Festival, in the Northern Territory, alcohol-free for the first time in 20 years. Barunga committee member Nick di Candillo has told Craig Egert he welcomes the community decision – and the positive message it will put out to youth.
